It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the passing of our beloved friend and founding member, Tobyn Matson (January 15, 1970 - October 27, 2024). A pillar of our organization from its earliest days, Tobyn embodied the true spirit of community service that defines the LCCTeam .Those who knew Tobyn will fondly remember her infectious enthusiasm, especially during our Paddle For The People events. Her leadership at the dock operations became legendary, as she fearlessly waded through waters and rallied volunteers with her characteristic blend of determination and good humor.
In recent years, Tobyn's dedication extended to serving as treasurer for both the LCCTeam and Mississauga Beer Festival, while remaining an active volunteer with the Port Credit Southside Shuffle. Her warmth and ability to connect with others strengthened the fabric of our entire Lakeshore Corridor community. The countless lives Tobyn touched through her volunteer work stand as a testament to her generous spirit and commitment to making our community a better place. Her bright smile, kind heart, and unwavering dedication will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of Tobyn's life will be held at a date to be announced. We will share these details as they become available. The LCCTeam Board of Directors
