Cues 4 Campers 2025: A Night of Community Impact and Generosity

Making a Difference, One Shot at a Time
The clinking of billiard balls echoed through The Crooked Cue in Port Credit last night, but what resonated even more powerfully was the spirit of community and generosity that filled the room. Our 3rd Annual Cues 4 Campers charity billiards tournament brought together passionate supporters, dedicated volunteers, and generous sponsors—all with one shared mission: to help send underprivileged children in our community to summer camp.

A Community United
As the Lakeshore Corridor Community Team, we're deeply committed to our "Neighbour Helping Neighbour" philosophy. Last night's event embodied this principle perfectly, with every participant contributing to a cause larger than themselves. The tournament wasn't just about friendly competition—it was about creating life-changing opportunities for children who otherwise might never experience the joy and growth that summer camp provides.

• A 55% increase in social-emotional learning skills development (Sibthorp et al., 2013)
• Up to 171 minutes of daily moderate-to-vigorous physical activity, far exceeding the recommended 60 minutes
• Significant positive development in social skills, physical and thinking skills, positive identity, and values (Henderson et al., 2007)
• Prevention of up to two months of summer learning loss in mathematics and reading (Wallace Foundation, 2010)
