Paddle for the People 2025 Returns

Every summer, something magical happens on the Credit River — paddles splash, crowds cheer, and our community comes together for an unforgettable cause. We’re thrilled to announce the 14th Annual Paddle for the People, taking place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Royal Canadian Legion Branch #82 in Port Credit.

This high-energy, family-friendly charity event is not just about racing paddle boats — it’s about raising hope and opportunities for local youth and families supported by the Lakeshore Corridor Community Team (LCCTeam).

Why Paddle for the People Matters
​In a world where many families are facing financial uncertainty, the funds raised through Paddle for the People support some of the most meaningful work we do at LCCTeam — programs like:

• The Gift of Christmas
• Local Kids’ Initiatives
• The Compass Food Bank
• Youth mentoring and leadership activities
• Emergency relief and back-to-school support

When you sponsor a team, paddle with your friends, or even just cheer from the shore, you’re helping ensure that children and teens in our community have access to the resources they need to grow, thrive, and succeed.​

For only $349 per team, your sponsorship includes:

• Lunch & steak dinner for two paddlers
• A charitable tax receipt
• Business or group name promotion
• And the option to have volunteers paddle on your behalf if you can’t race yourself!
