🎁 Gift of Christmas – December 14, 2025

Location: Royal Canadian Legion Branch 82, Port Credit

For many local families, the holidays are a time of stress rather than celebration. That’s why the Gift of Christmas exists.

Hosted by the all-volunteer Lakeshore Corridor Community Team (LCCTeam), this invitation-only event provides children from financially challenged families with a joyful, memory-filled day of warmth, celebration, and community.

💫 Why It Matters

For many families in our community, the holiday season brings more anxiety than joy. Rising costs, job insecurity, and food instability can make it hard to celebrate, especially for those raising children on limited incomes.

That’s why LCCTeam created the Gift of Christmas, to offer relief, recognition, and a reason to smile. It’s not just a one-day celebration. It’s a chance to restore dignity, joy, and connection for children and their families who are too often overlooked.

We believe that shared community moments, like a child receiving a present from Santa, a parent enjoying a warm meal without worry, or neighbours singing carols together, help build a more resilient and compassionate Lakeshore Corridor community.
🎯 Our 2025 Goal: Bring Joy to 50 Children
This year, with the help of local agencies that support vulnerable families, LCCTeam is preparing to welcome 50 children to this special celebration.

We’ll provide:
  • Live Holiday Performance by Carla Gonzalez
  • A festive, traditional Christmas turkey meal
  • Hands-on holiday crafts and games
  • Personalized wrapped gifts
  • A family portrait with Santa
  • Time to connect, laugh, and feel part of something bigger

Every child deserves to feel seen and celebrated during the holidays. With your help, we can make that happen.

💜 How You Can HelpWhile we’ve raised over $13,800 from Paddle for the People 2025 to support this event and others, we need your help to expand our reach and impact.
You can:
  • Donate to help cover the cost of food, gifts, and supplies
  • Volunteer your time or services before or during the event
  • Share our story with friends, neighbours, or colleagues

LCCTeam is 100% volunteer-led. Every dollar goes directly into our programs. No overhead. No admin salaries. Just local people helping local families.
